D\u00fcsseldorf, 10. August 2021 \u2013 <\/strong>Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) hat die Tests zur Kompatibilit\u00e4t seiner neuen 3.5-Zoll(1)<\/sup> – und 18 Terabyte(2)<\/sup>-gro\u00dfen Festplatten der MG09-Serie zu den Storage-Adaptern von Microchip erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Das Betreiben dieser HDDs auf allen gew\u00f6hnlichen Host-Bus-Adaptern (HBAs) und RAID-Adaptern (Redundant Array of Independent Disk) von Microchip ist damit ab sofort best\u00e4tigt.<\/p>\n

HBAs und RAID-Adapter verbinden Festplatten in Unternehmen mit dem Server, wodurch die Konstruktion komplexer Netzwerk-Architekturen m\u00f6glich ist. Ein reibungsloses Zusammenspiel zwischen Adapter und HDD gew\u00e4hrleistet die Funktionalit\u00e4t und Betriebsstabilit\u00e4t von Enterprise- und Cloud-Speichersystemen.<\/p>\n

Die Kompatibilit\u00e4t der MG09-Serie zu den Produkten von Microchip ist f\u00fcr das MG09SCA18TE-Modell der SAS-12GB\/s-Version und das Modell MG09ACA18TE der SATA-6GB\/s-Version best\u00e4tigt. Die Tests wurden auf den neuen PCIe Gen 4 24G SAS\/SATA\/NVMe Tri-Mode-HBA- und RAID-Modellen<\/a>, den Ger\u00e4ten der Serien HBA 1100 und SmartRAID 3100 sowie den noch immer weit verbreiteten RAID-Adapter-Vorg\u00e4ngermodellen der Serie 8 durchgef\u00fchrt. Bei den Tests stand allerdings nicht nur die Basisfunktionalit\u00e4t und die Kompatibilit\u00e4t des Interfaces im Fokus. Das Team hat dar\u00fcber hinaus Hot-Plug-Tests, Power-on-Tests und Reboot-Tests durchgef\u00fchrt und durch einen Extendend-Duration-Test die Langzeitstabilit\u00e4t best\u00e4tigt. Somit qualifizieren sich die Festplatten der MG09-Serie f\u00fcr den Eintrag auf der Kompatibilit\u00e4tsliste<\/a> von Microchip.<\/p>\n

Die k\u00fcrzlich ver\u00f6ffentlichte MG09-Serie basiert auf Toshibas propriet\u00e4rem Festplattendesign der dritten Generation mit neun Disks und Heliumversiegelung. Dabei setzt sie auf die innovative FC-MAMR-Technologie (Flux Control Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording). Mit 18 Terabyte hat die MG09-Serie 12,5 % mehr Kapazit\u00e4t als die Vorg\u00e4ngermodelle mit 16 Terabyte und ist mit den meisten Anwendungen und Betriebssystemen kompatibel.<\/p>\n
